How do i download vidoes on http://www.youtube.com/ to my computer? I want to see the videos offline.
I don't think this action is legal - downloading movies from YouTUBE.
There are some things one just shouldn't be allowed to do it.
Anyhow, even if you download them, how would you be able to properly view them? It's a strange format that the FireFox extension saves them into ...

Cratima Software and Cratima Interactive - www.cratima.com - It's deadline. It's done.
@Todi: It's the difference between downloading and saving them that's bothering me.

quite the contrary. Their biggest problem was music videos. However since Sony/Warner (and BMG if im not mistaking) are planning on uploading all their music videos to the site i hardly think they will sue.
Youtube gives artists a clearly better way to show off their work than they possibly could otherwise (and for free...)
Wierd Al was devestated after his White and Nerdy video was leaked to youtube and AOL refused to premiere it on their site. However when Al saw how many had seen the video on youtube he wasnt exactly crying, youtube delivers an audience no one (especially AOL) can provide.
Hollywood has learned from its mistakes with the internet and they haev some jazzy new promotional people who know how to use it, and they will and are.
What im curious to know is how youtube makes money? There are literally no offsite ads to pay for the insane bw they must be using
It's not gonna be enough. There are still 5-6 huge coorporations out there capable of suing youtube into oblivion. Signing just a few of them up never works.GhOstFaCE wrote:quite the contrary. Well, to be honest here, Weird Al did upload his own videos to YouTube / Google video etc, and posted links on his website. There may have been a copy there earlier, but he was pretty quick about it in any case. He also put up one of his songs that got bumped from his new album for download on his site as well, for free. Using Weird Al as an example of an artist who is behind the digital times is not altogether accurate.. "Don't download this song" indeed.GhOstFaCE wrote:Wierd Al was devestated after his White and Nerdy video was leaked to youtube and AOL refused to premiere it on their site.
