Simple, yet very useful. The ability to hit the up arrow and have the last message sent into chat pop up, just like in IRC. Hugely useful for hubs with very strict spamming policies, keeps you from having to type that two or three line sentences all over again because the server thinks you're spamming.
'course it also helps spamming, but the ctrl-C and ctrl-V do the same job if that's the intented purpose.

There's a setting to disable usage of control, but it breaks editing multiline messages.
