Cant save settings

Post by Jlinden » 2006-02-17 14:48

I´m out of space om my harddrive D:, so I moved my entire DC share folder to C: hardrive. I use the settings in LuDC++ to change the share folder to C:\DC share and download folder to C:\DC download. But the settings are not saved when I restart the program. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for help.

The settings are stored in DCPlusPlus.xml in the directory the executable is in. Are you able to write to that file? And technically, you aren't using DC++ so we shouldn't be helping you.

1. it is dc++ based client and many things are similar

2. we should be patient and useful

No. We can't possibly know what has changed and what hasn't.

Yes, you do try. Lurk a little more, and see how (and figure out why) we respond in certain ways to specific support requests. Some of your suggestions so far have been off-base.

But no, we cannot support anything but that which we have direct knowledge with. For almost everyone here, that means DC++ itself. Some of us have knowledge about other derived clients, but supporting them here is out of place, since it's the DC++ forum. Any DC++-derived client that wants to provide user support can easily put up its own forum.
