We tested DCH++ on a hub that normally runs ynhub with 600 users.
We changed it to DCH++ and could barely squeeze in 400
maybe a plugin for stripping myinfo would be nice.
If i knew how to start such a plugin i would do it myself

it was on a hub with at that moment 630 users logged in.. running on ynhub we stoped the ynhub and ran DCH++ started loading users, till 430 were logged in then 1 min later drops to 375 with massive lag.. (1mbit upload connection)
some myinfo stripping plugin wouldnt be a bad idee indeed..

To get a fair comparision, disable all the Myinfo stripping in Ynhub and see how many that holds, when it's sending the same ammount of data out.

i run my server with no issues, and we regularly break 600. According to vnstat it looks like on average theres 2-3GB of traffic per day, not sure what the bandwidth peaks at. Granted, I'm on a 100mbit connection
Gigabit to the room, but couldnt justify the cost of a new switch.

Your spoiled having a 1 gbit to your room and NOT spending a little money in a gbit switch

Once you hit 100mbit, does it really matter? Hopefully, I'll be living in the same dorm or the nearly identical one next to it next year.

the gigabit doesnt help. most people have 10mbit, and the backbone is gigabit, so you dont get that much faster than 100mbit at even the best times. and pseud, if you live next to me i will...........
