Converting file lists to text or HTML?

Post by ljirvin » 2004-08-02 12:24

Is it possible to convert file lists (especially my own) to text or HTML? I'd like to be able to send my list via email to others.
Thanks,
les

You can send the Mylist##.xml.bz2 file just fine via email.

Are you sending it to non-DC++ users?

Open the file using WinRar, then copy and paste, save as myfilelist.txt, layout is different though.

Yeah, but it's XML. I was wondering if someone had taken the trouble to write a script that parses the XML into readable text or html.

Not that i'm aware of, I seem to recall someone else asking for the same type of script several months ago, don't know if a search would bring it up.

A quick search on Google brought this up.

Ok, then your best bet is some other program. There are shareware/freeware applications that specialize in listing files, extracting bitrates from AVIs/MP3s etc. - this is likely the type of list you'd rather send than the plain DC++ one.

I'd start at downloads.com, or google with some really good search terms.
