Post by Woody » 2004-03-24 09:50

I have just started to use BCDC but how do I get it to download from more than one user?

You can't, it has hashing but not multi-source downloads.

just to clarify, hashing has nothing to do with downloading from more than one user..

Oh right, ok, is there any client based on DC++ that does allow multi-user downloading?

None that can do it safely, without corrupting your downloads.

Well, actually, they are related because hashing enables safe multisourcing because then you can be sure all the people have the exact same file and that it was downloaded correctly. That's as far as it goes, though.

bongretarded ya cut me deep.. ya cut me real deep...
i would like to say that this wasnt as intentional as it may seem, beleave me the last thing i wanted to do is have everyone use a client that dosnt upload.. dont worry they dont :) but yes ill have to agree the upload on IDC2 dosnt work properly.. although there are other clients. Reverse Connect and DCPro that uploading should work on and multisource downloads. I think, i have actually yet to try them lol.
