Hub Specific shares
Ok i know this has been discussed b4 some where in the old forums, but i think this would be very nice to have when u go to more than 1 hub. this way if you go to a anime hub u share anime and so on.
Some hubs have banned some files... and not just porn, believe me... I was kicked from my hub (you stupid ops! but you don't read this anyway) for sharing RAR files from the newsgroups. You know, those movieblablabla.part12.rar and so on? Well I don't know why they don't want it... the fact is they don't but I think they're really usefull for others people. So it would be nice to not include these files for this hub.
Examples like this I'm sure are all over the internet.

RE: Separate Share Lists for different hubs
This would be a cool feature as I have entered some hubs that have very specific sharing rules. If you have any shares that do not fit the criteria you get booted.
Some hubs WANT you to share ONLY certain types of things and nothing else (For eg. only their type of file is to be shared there)
Other hubs DON't WANT you to share certain things (obvious example is PORN)
Others don't care
This feature would let you stay in each kind of hub!!!

This would either require some kind of profile (and profile manager I guess), or it would have to be an extra "Exclude these files/folders from this hub"-menu point in the Fav hubs window.
Last suggestion would, however, make the filelists a problem. A profile manager could be made pretty easily and pretty elegantly I think. Unfortunately it will add quite a bit to the complexity of the program.

And how, exactly, will you know if a user is requesting one or the other filelists? What will be the filename of the filelist? How do you generate that individual list? Don't make it sound like the programmers should just add a single line of code - if it's that easy, why 1) don't you make that for yourself, and 2) why don't you share the code snippet to do it (a simple one, according to your own post)?

Exactly, AlleyKat!AlleyKat wrote:Don't make it sound like the programmers should just add a single line of code - if it's that easy, why 1) don't you make that for yourself, and 2) why don't you share the code snippet to do it (a simple one, according to your own post)?
I think the original poster needs to look at sarf's comment in this thread ("I really need these new features!"):
