Is there anything you can say about the operation of the beta version so far?

It's wonderful, much, much better than NMDCH and any other DC hub i've tried.

DCH++ is such a wonderful improvement over NMDCH. Tons more stable (now) and finally we've got a nice assortment of plugins and scripts (mainly thanks to Sedulus ;)) to carry out hub duties. This software is going to rock the DC world when it comes out...

So, if 16 minutes of those were networking time.

And you were to get a server class NIC, with decent bus mastering.

Does that mean only 8 minutes of CPU time would be used?

Oh, and is it all still a closed beta? Or can you get the source and have a go yourself now?

I'm instested in compiling it for LEAF, as an LRP.

http://leaf.sourceforge.net

and sticking it on one of my old P100 boxes in a DMZ :)

no clue, I have a 3Com Corporation 3c905C-TX/TX-M [Tornado] (rev 116) in it now. I have no idea what a server class NIC with decent bus mastering looks like ;)

hm, a quick glance at the site doesn't provide decent/valuable insights on what advantages LEAF has over regular linux distro's.

Thank you, it will be worth it for me to move to Windows 2000 or Linux to use. Thanks.
