ok, thanks, nice to hear that. :)
cyberal wrote: Those features belongs in the old dc++k, this new one is an entirely different project, without any cheater features!
Any idea of how old or which version is the last one to have those features? Because I'm probably now going to use the client detector-version as my primary client now and would just leave the dc++k running for itself in the background doing the stuff that it does and it would be nice to be able to hide (stealth) it.

If you want the latest checker, I think it is the 0.177 source code base. I've opened up the old beta area for everyone to peek in if they want, as well.

Umm... does the forbidden files thingy work now?

actually it seems that it is 0.181 source code base...

Thanks for putting those available, really appreciate it. :D
...now I have 4 different dc++ mods running on my hub:
  • DC++k 0.251
    DC++ Client type detection mod
    DC++ Stealth
    DC++k 0.181
Keep up the good work... :)

Hi everybody,

yes Sarf, the forbiddenfiles thing works just great now. Thanks a lot. And as fas as I can see the manual refresh doesn't hang the client no more.

A presto,
Clint

Hmmm, I haven't really decided their purpose yet... :)
DC++k and DC++ CDM are active right now but the rest are just hanging there...

That isn't really accurate, at least mine shuts down completely every now and then on some manual refresh I do.

Ran into an odd problem today....

DC++k 0.251055985 was unable to get a guys list who had "Send garbage command on incoming/outgoing enabled. BCDC was able to get it when it was enabled. Once the guy turned it off, DC++k was also able to get his filelist.

This a bug?

New version released - a minor "downgrade" until I can get my head back together (and it stops being so darn hot here, 28 degrees Celcius is six degrees more than I want).

Changelog :

Code: Select all

 -- 0.251055986k --
* Removed lots of new code about filelists
* Temporarily removed the eDonkey/bytes shared cheat detection
Hope this helps.

Here comes a "new" suggestion or question, depending on if these are existing or not?
Possibility to add these to user commands and all other places:

Code: Select all

%[s] - for showing number of slots the user has
%[h] - for hubs connected to
and so on, you get the point?

at least bcdc has these commands: http://utrum.dyndns.org:8000/

Oh, sorry but that didn't solve all my requests. Found only this:

Code: Select all

%[slots]
These would be nice too:

Code: Select all

%[m] - connection mode (can be "A", "P", or "5")
%[h] - number of hubs one is logged on to (e.g. "2/2/3")
%[hn] - number of hubs one is logged on to as a normal user (e.g. "2")
%[hr] - number of hubs one is logged on to as a registered user (e.g. "2")
%[ho] - number of hubs one is logged on to as an operator (e.g. "3")
Those would be useful when kicking people connected to too many hubs or they have too many/few slots open.

Hey Sarf, the last version still have the same problem for me, when a user leave the hub or is disconnected by a hub, his nick still remains in user list, and in earlier versions, when you were chating in pm with the user, and the user leaved the hub, the title bar will show offline or something like that , but now the title bar continues showing a user connected in one server. I'm using last version for the moment: 0.251055986k...

And one tip more, in the version 0.251055985k, i change the name of the bot from WishList to WishListBot, and the user list where showing both name even when i was refreshing user list, and all options for DC++f cheat where dissable in this moment...

Hmm... for me to continue investigations, it is imperative that you check to see if your hub sends a $Quit message after someone has been $Kicked. If your hubs do not, then I can fix things on my end, but otherwise...

Ignore the message above. I found the error (I think).

Changelog :

Code: Select all

 -- 0.251055987k --
* Added new replacement variables to the user commands
   %[mode] returns the mode (if known - if not, nothing is returned)
    mode will only contain anything if the user uses a DC++ description tag
     or has been contacted - it should contain something like "", "P", "A"
     or "5" but since that is (mostly) based what is after the M: in the tag,
     don't count on it
  all hub variables are empty if the hub string is not present
   %[hubs] returns the hub string (1/0/2 or whatever is after the H:)
   %[normalhubs] returns the number of normal hubs (based on the hub string)
   %[registeredhubs] returns the number of registered hubs (based on the hub string)
    using %[reghubs] also works
   %[ophubs] returns the number of OP hubs (based on the hub string)
   %[totalhubs] returns the total number of hubs (based on the hub string)
  the search window has been updated with
   %[filesize] which returns the size of the file (in bytes)
   %[filesizeformat] which returns the size of the file (in an appropriate unit)
    these should be used as %[size] and %[sizeformat] may be removed in a future version
* Added "fake" quitting as a means to remove clients that are kicked
* Probably fixed the 0 byte bug, yet again a variable was not initialized
* Re-enabled edonkey/byte shared cheat-checking
* It is going to take a while to migrate to DC++ 0.261, but I trust that you are patient
Hope this actually works (it should - please, Eris, make it work!).

Oh yes, thank you very much for these additions! I love them already! :D

Here comes my newest not so common request:

Code: Select all

%[myshare]
I would like one of those 'cause I'm using this at the moment:

Code: Select all

/raw $MyINFO $ALL R200 <++ V:0.251,M:P,H:0/2/1,S:2>$ $R200$$28447126344$|
And that one shows the size a bit weird. I have an share of 26.49 GB but Windows calculates it to 26.4 GB (28 452 657 044 bytes) or (28 453 047 296 bytes). And if I calculate 26.49 with an calculator I get: 26.49 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 = 28 443 420 917,76.
And if my share would change I would have to debug my info by logging on once to see my share size in dc.
If that command would become available I would put this in an user command:

Code: Select all

/raw $MyINFO $ALL R200 <++ V:0.251,M:P,H:0/2/1,S:2>$ $R200$$%[myshare]$|

No, i'm using Ptokax hub last release, but sarf you have to think about one thing, i'm using DC++k since long time ago, since at least page 2 of this thread, and the problem with user list appeared in the lastest versions, using the same kind of hub, so the problem is coded into dc++k beacuse in earlier versions i have no see troubles at all, except the known bugs...
The problem in last version continues...
I hope my text help you a little at least

v0.251055988k

Post by sarf » 2003-07-16 06:22

New version out :

Code: Select all

 -- 0.251055988k --
* Fixed so that the %[whatever] commands actually do something
   oops - thanks to CyberAL for this one!
* Added /checklist (or /checkfilelist) as a command
   both to the main chat and the user commands
    thanks to CyberAL for this one!
* Added a few new variables
   %[myshare] returns your share in bytes
   %[myshareformat] returns your formatted share
   %[myslots] returns your slots
   %[myversion] returns your version
    thanks to R200 for inspiring me to create these!
The announcement thread in the Imperialnet forums will be updated before this thread from now on.

By the way, all, if something is a KNOWN BUG, it's not fixed (according to me) until I say it is fixed. No need to remind me of bugs I know are there.

I woke up this morning with a feature-suggestion in my head...
How about a drop-down list for recent kick-messages, like the one for search-terms in the search-frame? :))

is it time to continue with my client-client-detection-mod? i hope people are aware of the limitations with client-detection-mods and sharecheckers.

Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

New version released!

Code: Select all

 -- 0.2510559894k --
* Added more threading
   may prevent or delay crashes
   thanks to everyone who reported their problems!
* It worked here (tm) (for a while anyhow)
Note that the passagen site is not updated as of this time, since I can't access it.
