A script to send a message to a user after they join?

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

A script to send a message to a user after they join?

Post by Stacker » 2004-04-30 22:43

I have been looking for almost an hour now and all these scripts, seem to be server-side mods. What we are looking for is a command script that will automatically send a message to a user when they join the hub, telling them to please register with our web site.

Can someone please help, I am thinking it is in the advanced user commands but can't figure it out.

If you're using NMDCH v1, then here.
If not, what hubsoft are you using?

See this is what I mean, I have no idea what either of the terms you just used are.
I don't know.

Are you running a hub at all, or are you just an OP or user in one? A Hub is a DC-Server btw. If you are indeed running a hub/server, what is it called? (the hubsoft). Chances are it's either Yhub, Ptokax or Neo-Modus. You can usually find it at the top of the Interface of the hub. If you absolutely can't figure it out, take a screenshot of the interface and we'll figure it out for you.

Honestly, if he can't figure it out by himself, he shouldn't be running a hub in the first place.

I am an OP in a hub, I am not running a hub. It is Yhub.
Can an OP do this?

YHub itself won't send a PM when a (regular) user joins, so neither Operator nor hub owner could implement what you're asking for. Yhub does not support a scripting language, so you can stop searching for a script right now. One of the various bots will probably be able to do it, or at least send a timed PM. More information.

If you have access to the hubserver, you can actually do this with Yhub's built-in MOTD function. See this site.
