Need help with new hub please

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Need help with new hub please

Post by spidieman » 2004-02-13 18:11

used DC++ for a bit now, first time setting up a hub

Using neo-modues's hub version 2
dlink router
ports forward is the 1090 as well as the 412+1412(could be off, but i did my research before hand on the ports)

users can connect to the server, but no one can seem to search of share for anything. No error messages are appearing in the server log.

Any suggestions ( i tried reading through the FAQ's i found, but there didn't seem to be anything reguarding this )

There are several problems going on...

1) Follow How to setup NMDC Hub v1 as a template on how to set up v2. Why do you want to use v2 over v1?

2) Users not being able to search is most likely a client problem on their end, read: I dont get any search results!

its version 2? to me thats like someone going why use windows 2000 over windows 95. if version 1 is better then i'll use it

as for the no one being able to search i have had everyone try all options

i use the PtokaX dc hub. I think it works alot better than the official dc hub software since it is integrated with the most common used scripts.

also, try porting port 411, thats the only port i had to port and it works fine for me.
