Problem with logging in to my hub with 1 user

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Problem with logging in to my hub with 1 user

Post by bokkepoot » 2003-12-23 17:49

Hello everyone.

Since last september I'm running a hub-server. (neo-modus hub server)
I'm using NO-IP program to connect my IP-number to a name (queenmp3.no-ip.com).

already their are about 400 registered users and they can login all of them.

When my hub is down (for example for cleaning my PC or ISP problems), the same hub can be runned on a so called backup-hub (somebody else his PC). The settings and account-lists of both hub-servers are equal.

Now a new user wants to login to my hubserver and she becomes the message: unknown adress.
When the hub is running on the backup-server, she can login without problems.
When the hub is running on the other PC, and I logged in there, everybody can pick up her share-list, except of me.

Has somebody to experience with this kind of problems ?

Best regards

some added information:

This person who can't login to my hub, has made an own hub (neo-modus)
One (test-person) of my hub can login their, and I can't.
again: connection time out

Please help me with this problem.

any of you have a firewall?
one of you might have put the other in it's list of **aa bloc list (if you're doing such a thing).
or perhap one of you run peer guardian and one of your IP is list in there.

Have you read the FAQ?
Or the sticky ? It might give you idea.

The problem is solved now.
Luckely the user had not a static IP-number.
She has now another IP number and can login now.

Everything we did try was without firewalls.

But now everything is working good.

thanks for advice
