Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Standalone Bot program

Post by Bakkoda » 2003-10-22 23:28

Ok this is kinda for the old-schoolers... I used to run a hub a long time ago that used one bot for everyting. The bot was an executable that connected to the hub. Bot also had triggers and loads of other options.

Name started with an "A" I think. I doubt its still even available but It'd be great if someone could help jog my memory.

Dunno, but Ragnarok and Kerberos are the only bots I've used that are decent.

Havnt been able to find any scripts for what you need done? Take a look here: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/6550 for a nice list.

Its not that I cant find scripts. I usually write my own scripts. I dont want to use a script for this time due to the fact that Im not running the hub, Im merely the OP/script b*tch. I want a bot that has trigger features and will let me maintian the triggers independantly.

ArchosBot? I think I've seen something similar while looking around the net for DC related files.

Don't bother with v1.1 of my $UserCommand script, it's out of date and I haven't had a chance to revise it for the changes Sedulus and Arne made to the specs.

you also have verlibot written by verliba, http://verlibot.sf.net/
There are several other closed source bots aswell..
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

lol, that brings back memories!
We used to use ArchosBot in the Optimal network. My good friend bm is responsible for coding it. It's a nice app, but probably not compatable with modern hubs softwares(?)
