There are several possibi.lities that come into my mind what you could have done wrong.

- Updated your dynamic dns name?

- Used right port to connect?

- Firewall or Router that could be blocking?

- ...

Please give us more info about what you've done and what not.

Oh man... what a mess. I'm not sure anymore if we're talking about the same thing.

Well,
vandel405.dynip.com = dynamic dns address

This needs to be updated permanently to lead to your present ip (if dynamic ip).

Now, you've got to tell what you've done so far.

Well, if you'd really searched, you've found plenty of info.
But anyway.

What you've got so far is installed the hub software and got a dyndns.
Thats pretty much all you need.

I'm not an expert in running a hub, but i what you have to do is leading the dyndns to your ip (means to your comp and finally to your hub).
For this purpose, you need a tool that synchronises your dns with your ip.

If you've got a router, you can very probable do that there, if not you can use a tool like DeeEnEs.

mmhh, i'm too tired to think

I suggest you to search the forum for already existing posts about this topic, you will surely find some info and instructions on how to set up your hub.

Good luch...

vandel405.dynip.com is in there by default (hub setting) it is for registering a hub to a hub list.

Dr.Hoffmann did you actualy clic on "start serving" button ?

in DC connect to your hub by entering " 127.0.0.1:411 " in "manual connect address".(use what is show in "listening port" in hub setting)
in this case 411 must be the port show in "listening port" in hub setting.

in hub setting "my IP address" must be the IP of puter that the hub is running on, or DNS addy like yournameaddy.no-ip.com if you want others to be able to connect to your hub. (need to register an account with them before using it) .

No, you dont have to write scripts yourself.

Have a look at the "Sticky: Hub Script site list" post under section "Hubs and scripts".

You'll surely find there what you're looking for.
