Get a New World Mac and run OSX?
I presume that's why you're still on 9.1 instead of 9.2.2. Alternately, you could try the one Java hub: Shasta. It might work, or work well. If you're not actively using the computer, you could always get Debian or Yellow Dog linux and use one of the linux based hubs, after recompiling it for PPC.

Ah, yes... Ooops. I'm completely unfamiliar with the Mac world (it shows a bit, doesn't it ? ) My bad =)that's OS X only
I don't know what the terminal refers to, in a mac context, but I assumed it was something similar to Dos for win platforms, so it sounded like it just might have worked (the GUI-less version, which should be run «from the terminal» is what I linked to). Obviously, it doesn't work like this at all, but at the time I posted, it really made sense, I swear
