Hub problem

Post by Wenom » 2006-07-05 02:21

I didn't knew where to put this...
I recently set up a hub on YnHub for our network (LAN), it works fine and everything, users are delighted, even set up a trivia bot on it...
But the other daysome fu*ker came in, made a scene, and after the scene he flooded... he joined with like 150 nicks from the same ip, it wasn't that much of a problem... banned him and userlimited the hub to 30!

My question is, how did he managed to join in with so many nicks from 1 ip, do you need a script for that? and how do i avoid these sort of problems in the future...?

Sorry for my bad spelling...

with ynhub i don't think you can do much about it as ynhub doesn't support scripting and hasn't got a setting to limit the amount of nicks from 1 ip. maybe it's in the next release keep an eye out for new versions =)

*edit
which should be part of basic deflood though....

*edit2
just found the appropriate request on ynhub forum,
it has been denied.
try a bot named masterbot.

*edit3
mods? please move this one to hubs and scripts
