Post by james18kok » 2004-07-29 16:39

I use Yhub Beta 0.387
have a router and firewall

Every1 can log onto my hub,,,,but not me...I tryed to log in with localhost...my internal IP...but I get disconnected...There are 200 users in my hub...but not me...I switched my firewall off, forwarded the ports..I'm using XP Pro...(without the built in firewall)

What do I do wrong.....I use the default port..411....also tryed localhost or 10.0.0.158 with and without :411...

Help me...I want to go on my own hub.....

What happens when you try 127.0.0.1? What are the exact messages you get?

Sorry it takes a long time before I can reply I'm a very busy person....

The exaxt message that I get when logging in at 127.0.0.1 (with and without :411)=

*** Connecting to 127.0.0.1...
*** Connected

and I leave it on for a long time and nothing happens.

This must be in my router because people where complaying that the hub had lag and my connection speed is good enough...at least 50 kb for 200 users

I have a speedtouch 510..U got any sugestions

If you connect to 127.0.0.1 (the loopback address), your computer doesn't use your router at all.

Judging from your output, your hub may be hung - it's accepting your connection, but not doing anything.

Or perhaps a software firewall is to blame.

I tryed it with and without my firewall on so that can't be the problem and connecting at 127.0.0.1 does not seem to work to so the problem must be somthing else. Could it be a setting in Yhub that I must change???

Or could the problem still be at my router?? Does it matter that DHCP and the DNS service is running on my router?

I just noticed that I can't connect in to some other hubs now as well....I do get the public filelist but I'm not able to connect to some hubs

This is the message I get sometimes

*** Connecting to uk-fat-shares.no-ip.info...
*** Connected
<»²ºº4« Club{-_-}Zone »²ºº4«> Handshake timeout
*** Disconnected
*** Connecting to uk-fat-shares.no-ip.info...
*** Connected
<»²ºº4« Club{-_-}Zone »²ºº4«> Handshake timeout
*** Disconnected

And that;s only with this hub and with an otherhub it says

*** Connecting to uk-fat-shares.no-ip.info...
*** Connected
*** Disconnected

Well I just tried the hub and its working fine for 215 users. If you're muppet-master, then it was working fine for yout too now.

Uhhm I was taking over the hub and because I couldn't log onto that hub and the connection was bad so the boss of that hub took the hub over again. And after that I couldn't even log in to that hub so the problem must be on my pc
