A Minor Hub Problem

Post by FireSeerX » 2004-05-04 02:43

Hi!
Im kinda new to these things, and decided to start up a hub to share files, for my network collegues. I downloaded this program called Shadows Direct Connect Hub and followed the stes from this topic:
http://shadowdc.sourceforge.net/forums/ ... ?topic=297

All users can connect and everything works fine exept one thing:
No one can connect to another user, and view their files or such. Not even download the filelist, without getting "Connection Timeout". Anyone that can help me with this?

Thanks in regards. Your's sincerly ~Tuvis

This is unlikely a hub issue. read Connection timeouts FAQ for the most likely cause.

If the same users go into another hub, do they have the same problems ?

Are we talking LAN? If it's NAT'd and you don't have access to the routing device, then they will all have to be in passive mode and passive mode <-> passive mode = null.
