Files generated during build

Then I do build dc++ do I get one more file the normal .exe and .pdb files, in debug build do I get a dcplusplus.ilk and in realeas do I get a dcplusplus.map as far as I know does the dcplusplus.map contain some kind of linker adresses is this correct? But what is the .ilk file, is this something similar to the .map file? What is this files good for?
