Over the last week I've been trying to add a second splitter to mainframe (the first being the existing transfer view). Needless to say, nothing i've tried has actually worked, and i am starting to get really annoyed with ATL \ WTL.
The first splitter looks like it's created so simply, which makes this all the more annoying, since i've tried all sorts of different things from google and the Code Project, none of which i can get to work.
(I would like the second splitter to be below the toolbars, and just take a few centimetres off the normal work place window, but i cannot even get the second splitter to appear, never mind placing / populating it)
Problems adding a second splitter to MainFrame.

Maybe this can help you -> http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wtl/message/5756
Thanks, i was having trouble with SetSplitterRect, and that helped get the splitter visible now. wrong place, and contents, but it's a visible splitter, so i'm happy . The rest i can hopefully manage.
That post also says
"well this is a quirky arrangement, having a splitter in the inheritance list, if i've ever seen one! "
Is that important (should i make a patch to change this frame and the others which have a splitter, to the more "standard" form ?), or since they work just leave it be ?
