Hub Flooder

Post by Slowmo » 2004-12-08 16:24

I am wondering what must I do, to be automatically banned for hub blooding.
I am making some kind of a test client to understand the whole protocol thing and got banned for that reason. So, what am I doing wrong?

Heres the protocol log.

..RECEIVED: $Lock [email protected][qF58B992Q3M3>mlaWK[k:kuyo7]1MMOqXvE5?aq [email protected]|
..SENT $Key uQ`1"s7P'7/%DCN000%/06&[email protected]&FG/%DCN000%/ cb3 e|$ValidateNick Slowmo|
..RECEIVED: $HubName Some hub|<Hub-Security> This hub is running PtokaX DC Hub build 15.25 [debug] (UpTime: 0 days, 4 hours, 34 minutes)|

..RECEIVED: $To: Slowmo From: Deflood $<Deflood> You are now banned on suspision of using a hub flooder!!||

Is the problem in these lines or maybe I have sent something unnecessary somewhere in previous connections?

btw the best thing to understand protocol is to run a small private hub on ptokax with CMDs enabled and keep reconnecting :)

also, the DC protocol manual is very nice, have learnt a lot of them.

btw better use a well-known tag for your client ;)
