newlines?

Technical discussion about the NMDC and <a href="http://dcpp.net/ADC.html">ADC</A> protocol. The NMDC protocol is documented in the <a href="http://dcpp.net/wiki/">Wiki</a>, so feel free to refer to it.

newlines?

Post by krel » 2003-07-19 16:36

I'm having trouble sending newline characters over PM. I've tried unix newlines, windows newlines, and \f, but apparently they render as that square character in windows clients. Someone suggested I try "\n\r" together for a newline, but that shows up as the same square character. Could someone tell me the appropriate newline character (or characters?) in DC? :?

"\r\n" (CRLF)
should work fine
("\n\r" won't btw)
