Bot problems
I connect to my NMDC hub and send the key for the botpass it connects shows in the userlist but never receives any messages therefore cant respond to commands what do i do?
Could you give a little bit more info? After you send a $Key there is moer you have to do. You must be already using $VaidateNick if the nick is showing up... but after you get $Hello from the hub you need to send the $Version command and then a $MyINFO...You can find the syntax for these in the DC Protocol Spec (that I am sure you must be using eh?) The handshake info in the Docs are not very good... as in it doesn't say anything about $Version until you read the Client to Hub commands (and I think it is a necissary part of the handshake) and also it makes you beleive that you need to send $MyINFO first... which I have found to be false with a couple hubs...
So Make sure you are doing:
$Key ...
$ValidateNick ...
[other stuff if a password is required]
$Version ...
$MyINFO ...

Do you recieve any messages after the $Lock|? If not the bot pass musn't be correct....why not use one of the lock to keys on the board - mine has a decent speed for VB and the bot can increase compatability.....
Shadows Direct Connect Hub - Taking away the light from NMDCH, leaving only shadows.....
What is the last message you recieve from the hub then?

Ptokax is very strict on sign-on, if you can get it to work on a Ptokax hub then NMDC hubs will be easy...
