DCDEV Public hub

Post by gifu » 2004-01-14 06:18

I was banned there because:
[13:05] <DCH++> You're banned from this hub (time left: 2:09:14:21) because: why bother faking in here? /BSOD

I am using dc++k cdm version overrided to 2.51(that's what Im using). I have never even tried faking my share. Is dc++ and version atleast 0.300 the only way to stay on this hub ?

irritated

With dc++ you must have a version greater then 0.300 yes but other clients sould work fine also includeing the client you are using ( I think ). If he banned you and you feels innocient then perhaps he banned the wrong user or found something about you which looked like faking but weren't?

As you see he banned severls users there so he can possible be misstaken. If I don't find anything saying that you really was faking I can unban you but keeping a little look on you when you enters so that you aren't faking.

In particular, the dc++k seems to kick for small list sizes - even if your share is also small - a couple of kilobytes/megabytes.

joakim unbanned you, so...

bsod usually notices when he bans a regular, but he didn't this time. sorry. :-/

It would have helped you, if you had read the messages here. I am using dc++k cdm VERSION 2.51 and I was only telling that in my tag. If you really think this is not allowed, then fine.

Otherwise, you really shouldn't be allowed to kick anyone. I asked if this was allowed and you ban me without answerring 12 hours later (again).

oDC 5.31 Tag: <oDC V:5.31,M:A,H:0/1/2,S:10>
oDC 5.31 PK: DCPLUSPLUS0.306ABCABC

<++ V:#.### implies you're using #.### of DC++, if you're not, it should be a different ID like:
<PPK V:0.666,M:N,H:X/O/X,S:Y>
<XDC++ V:0.301,M:A,H:1/0/5,S:3>
<DCGUI V:0.3.0a.cvs20040111,M:P,H:4,S:4>
<SdDC++ V:0.20,M:A,H:0/1/3,S:0/3>
<ADC++ V:0.251,M:A,H:2/1/11,S:2>
<++ V:0.304Backyard,M:A,H:3/12/47,S:1>

etc.

If you use dc++k cdm or pure dc++ 0.251.. that doesn't make a difference. Well, I also cheked DC++k CDM 0.25105581 with bcdc. so the pk must match with the tag.. so bsod had the reason for banning.
