Blaster Virus Aftermath

Post by theburger » 2003-10-03 03:49

Hey i just had the blaster virus but luckily i managed to remove it with norton antivirus liveupdates, microsoft securityupdates and a microsoft remover tool.

I am running 3 pcs through a router. Now when the virus was removed internet through router wont work on the previously affected machine, just on the other twos. It will just work with a "direct connection" to the modem. how to make it work on the affected machine again through router?

Help is greatly appreciated!

Reinstall the machine is one good idea.

I noticed some weird changes to the TCP/IP stack after a machine was hit with one of the Blaster virus spinoffs. After Norton was done cleaning it, it would not connect to AIM, but it could browse the web fine. Reinstalling AIM did not work.

I agree, reinstall the machine.
