Just curious.

v0.17 or 0.18 for me, specifically. I forget which.

if I'd wager a guess I'd say most regulars have been using it since around 0181

I definitely turned to DC++ on 0.16, although I peeked at some of the 0.15?. I almost can't remember what NMDC looks like...

0.161 or so. and I remember the introduction of extended tags in order to placate ops, at a time when DC++ wasn't quite so dominant.

i only came to it around version 0.20 because i couldn't get it to work before then. I used to use NMDC, and actually thought it was good!

I am pretty damn regular and started using DC++ at version 0.151
Also as not the first, then the first ones who started a DC++ friendly hub while everyone else banned DC++ from the hubs...different situation now isn´t it?
Just another silly hub owner ;-)

The first version I "used" was 0.01, but I didn't scrap my NMDC client (which could barely run on that machine used back then =) till about 0.03/4 (can't remember which....).

And as for my experiences.....0.01 looked like an underdeveloped word pad =)

My 2 cents here say he's taking a chance on someone nice enough to answer him seeing how all of the old schoolers who have been doing this for a while are of course chatting about how long of a history they have with DC. Nice try RJ-P!!

Bump!

Post by TheParanoidOne » 2003-12-17 10:23

Thought I would resurrect this seeing as we are now in the 0.300 or later era :)

I've added another poll option to reflect this. Sadly it has to be at the bottom or else it would screw up the existing votes. Something to think about for any other polls ...
