Post by sik-fok » 2003-04-10 08:02

Hello!

like me there would be enogh other people (using DC)

And being a student or a freelance designer maybe looking for some FUN work to do for non or some pay!!

There might be enough ammo for a Graphic designer GROUP

so please vote!! (if i figured out how to use the damn poll stuff)

I voted no because I do not understand what this is about. I fear what I don't understand.

Developers are people who have contributed code to DC++ or maintain/write a DC++ related program.

Moderators are people who maintain the DC++ forum.

Graphic Designers have contributed in what way to DC++?

Do you want to create a group in general, in the forums, or specifically for dc++ hubs? :?

I'm pretty sure he means a group in the forum. He asked the same question via PM after I told him he was spamming the forum with those 4 posts about getting kicked for having "mein kamph" or whatever shared.

Well, download the source and look at the resource files and icons, if you can make something better or more coherent, just send it to Arne. Once you've contributed a few things, he might be more likely to give you your own group in the forum. ;-)

Or if you can code and want to affect the visual appearance of the program that way, have at it!

i see you want to make DC pretty.

that would be cool but not to pretty.
i hate apps that loose function to being pretty.
and i don't want performance hits because it's loading pretty pictures.

A skinned interface might be nice.
but odd shaped windows are hard to deal with on a rectangular screen.

what would be nice is a change to the website...
it looks like every other one out there.
Especially this forum...

to your question if a new forum should be created i doubt there are enough people with talent who A) use DC++ B) can stand to use the forum
there are unfortunatly too many people who use DC who have no idea about computers who would flood it with complaints about the interface and give nothing of help...

now that i have said my things to discourage you...
i would love to see a Graphic Designer group.

but i'm not good a graphic designer i'm a second rate programer.
