Most phpBB forums support 80x80 sized avatars. This one is set to 64x64, was there a reason? As you can see, my normal avatar is too small to read at this size while it is legible at 80x80...
I'm expecting its a size concern, which I'll understand... but there is the possiblity this was set up in error, in which case I'd love to switch to the 80x80 version.

yours is hardly readable this way tooGargoyleMT wrote:It has always been set up that way. I'm sorry yours is illegible, but I don't think that's enough reason for me to up the limit.
You can send a message around the world in 1/7 of a second; yet it may take several years to move a simple idea through a 1/4 inch of human skull.

No problem. I've been a moderator too, to not be would be hypocritical.GargoyleMT wrote:Thanks for understanding.nerdvana wrote:That's fine.
AH. I see. Well it is 100% successful then.GargoyleMT wrote:The text wasn't really the point in my avatar - it's the giant non-threatening/helpful smile.Quattro wrote:yours is hardly readable this way too

simple way around this is to just allow hotlinking of Avatars from peoples personal sites, eg Yahoo! Geoturds, Google heres my e-mail pages,Quattro wrote:exactly, i'm a forum admin too but my forum has far less users so avatar size isn't a real problem...
and don't allow them uploaded to your own server just have a decentish selection of gallery avatars
i only have a big forum on my lan server so size is something i've never worried about same with bandwidth
80x80 is the generic standard of avatars in 7kb of space from majority of forums
