best mp3 management software?

best mp3 management software?

Hi guys,

Right im looking for a decent peice of software to do the following things as im totally fed up up with windows crappy media player.

software needs to:

needs to be able to rip tracks off cd's
copy a cd thats already made up in a decent time
split an mp3 up (to cut out intro's ect)
write tracks onto cd

Thats about it! Can anyone help me find/name the software im looking for?

All but the splitting can be handled with iTunes.


I never rip with anything but EAC + LAME (for encoding). I use iTunes for some of its ID3v2 tag support (Disc, Track numbers) I use foobar2000 for most of my mass tagging.

EAC with LAME, as Garg stated, is the best for most users
