banned from website

Post by vinny boom butts » 2004-06-28 17:20

is there a way of getting back on a website after being banned??

when you register on a website they take note of your computer's ip adress, so even if you change your e-mail adress they will still recognise you.

any ideas??

Sure, change your IP address. Which can be done by unplugging your modem, waiting a while and then plugging it back in. Or your ISP might be able to help you by doing it manually. Assuming you don't have a static IP address.

i just have a normal adsl connection so i assume it's not a static adress.

so every time i turn my computer on it has a different ip adress??

then all i have to do is register with a different name and email adress.

Not your computer, the ADSL modem. Turn the modem off, wait a few minutes and then turn it back on (plug it back in). If you don't have a new IP address, try again.

Then perhaps it wouldn't be such a great idea for you to try to get back.

probably not a cookies...
they have delete your account(if you had one...
and they probably ban your whole ISP's IPs pool, or at least a part of it...
