Logging upload IPs

Logging upload IPs

Any way that I can log the IP of the uploaders in uploads.log?

Some of us discussed to add or not add this when the ip was inserted into the search-frame and the transferview. The advantage is ofcourse to have a better log of who and what, which sounds very reasonable for most servers. (You have to remember that a DC++ session is both a server and client.) Others can better tell you about the drawbacks since i don't share their opinnions.
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

I was also thinking about this as being a great feature. As was mentioned in a seperate thread it would allow you to better get an idea of what IP ranges you connect to with the most stability and best speed.
