Copy filename/nick/path etc from search

Post by Alexei Kubarev » 2004-04-12 07:42

Hi...
Some OPs thought that it would be good if it was possible to copy Nick/filename/path to the clipboard from the search window... In case you have to kick someone you just paste the filenmae and a path...

So... if someone is intrested i can paste the code that worked for me ;)

There's a better way to do it, use user commands and choose "search menu" as context.

I'm going to have to give my vote for the search menu context as the best way to solve this problem. The OPs can get whatever they need done in one menu click.

The copy to clipboard method would require more effort on the end user. There's no need to jump out of the context of DC++ and start using the OS clipboard just to paste it back into the context of DC++.

At least for this request that is. However there are other reasons why having a larger ability to copy things to the clipboard is desirable.
My Visual Studio .NET 2003 is licensed under my name, and the same for my operating system... What about you?
I surf on an OC3 without limitations, two to be exact, and I'm not joking.
