Compressed Transfers Column in Search Window

Post by jbyrd » 2004-01-24 11:16

Cyborg was complaining about the fact that many users don't have safe and compressed transfers enabled in this thread.

It would be nice if there was a column in the search window that let you know if safe and compressed transfers is enabled on the machines that the search returns so you can utlilize the feature. A simple 1 or 0 would be fine, or a yes and *blank*.

In fact, it would be nice if you could check a box and search for only SACT results (exactly like "only users with free slots").

Thanks. :)

The current format of the search result ($SR) command does not lend itself to extension or overloading.

Just like returning meta-data with search results, this will have to wait (most likely) until there's a new protocol.

it could be implemented slightly more like the dc++ detection (when users go blue in the filelist) so that your client just shows what they learnt from the last actual connection from this person, or an unknown. Ok it wouldn't be perfect but if the people on your hub stay online for long periods of time without restarting dc++ it will slowly 'learn' who is and isnt
