Don't know how to phrase this feature, but I really need it.

Post by RacerX » 2004-01-14 03:57

Sometimes I just hub browse, go in and out of different hubs looking around. Frequently, I use Moglo.

When I start a DL from a guy on a hub, I really need a way to remember what hub he was on.

Too many times I've started a file, the user has logged off, the file isn't finished, I haven't noticed, and then forget which hub he was one. Ergo, I don't know where to go to finish my file.

It's really annoying.

The work around I've come up with is to, whenever I start a file, to mark that hub as favorite, then DC logs on automatically, thus automatically searching for that user again.

But I don't always remember to do that, and my fav's list is getting really long......

You know, after reading all of that, I'm not sure what your feature is either.

Why don't you add the *user* as a favorite instead? The favorite user manager will say when you last saw him and on what hub.

I think he wants DC++ to either add to favourites automatically or jog his memory.? :wink:
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

I think what he mean is
what i added to dc++:

Time-stamp any starting and ending downloads with hub name, user name and filename into download.log file (or maybe, into any pending log file)
