Great new feature! Custom download folders in dl menu!:)))

Post by gLes » 2003-12-21 12:27

Hi!:)

I just got an idea for a great new feature! So...like...I'm soon beginning to sort my MP3s to make my collections more organized. Then I thought that when I download in DC then I have to Browse for the specific folder if I want to put it there in the beginning. Now...since I'm very lazy to do this normally, I just download it to the default download directory and it's just piling up and everything's will go wrong again. So...I thought of a feature, that I could specify a list of folders, that should be displayed in the dl menu, so I don't have to browse for it...or even you could make a label for each dir. Like this:

Soundtracks: E:\Media\Music\Soundtracks
Albums: E:\Media\Music\Albums
Films: E:\Media\Films
etc.

And they could be appended to the 'Download here' menu devided with a seperator...:) It'd be cool:)

The only problem is...

You should always check your downloads to make sure they are:
a) Legit
b) Not corrupt
c) Good Quality

If you just throw them in some directory, and then share that directory...you are likely to spread poor downloads and waste alot of bandwidth.
Hehe.

See here...I mostly download MP3s...I ALWAYS listen into them while downloading, and if it's not what I want or it's of poor quality, I say to it: "bye bye"...:) So...I think there's no quality problems with MY sharings...but it's indeed rather unsorted...but I think just MY sharing isn't very important, it's the fact that you're generally right...:))) So it is quite urgent to accomplish this feature...:)))

I think Paranoid pointed out that it already is a feature.
Hehe.

Nope. Just that it's been requested.

At least I'm not the only one who's not really keen on reading everything thoroughly...:)

Well, I thought you pointed it out because of linksync's reply to that thread...his opinion is one in which I tend to agree with.
Hehe.

Nah. I've been going through the Feature Request tracker and just happened to see it that day.

I agree too, that it is a good feature.
