Auto search a file list for qued files

Post by CloudPrime » 2003-10-13 22:09

It is quite annoying when you loose a user but still have MANY files that need to be downloaded, and you find someone that has them, but you have to right click each file that you need and "download to blah blah blah file".

Please add a feauture to search a users share list for files that are in your que, (exact same file size and exact same file name).

Thanks!

there is such feature in DC++.

it might not find the files as fast as you want(because of search spam),
or your queued files entries are set to 0, set resume to 1 for auto download.

Does the "Match Queue" while browsing a file list not serve this purpose?

Automatically search for alternatives is VERY slow to search for hundreds (or in my case, thousands) of small files. It is nice, for say, a few large files, but I have 7000 files qued right now, and have had up to 30,000. Most of the files are less than 100k.

What is this "Match Que" feature you speak of? I cannot find anything like that.

The alternative is to search for a whole load at once, search spam the hub, and get yourself banned.

Download someones file list. Picture. Towards the right of the screen you will see the "Match Queue" button. This will match any entries in the file list to any entries in your download queue and add the user as an alternate source for those files.

Thanks TheParanoidOne!! That is exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad the feature is there!

Wow, hidden in plain sight I guess.

Amazing I have been using DC++ this long without even seeing it.

Thanks!
