New commands

Post by Frysboxen » 2003-01-05 16:30

I have some suggestions for new, useful commands, that will be useful with the new user-mnu:

/run c:\blablabla.exe run an application
/msg User blablabla message a user, for easier combinations with bots

Would'nt adding the option to execute applications turn the client into the "hack me please, insert your connection here" clients otherwise known as IRC clients?

Could DC++ be sandboxed under Windows even?

I dont think there is a security risk with that. DC++ could easily sort wheter the run command is coming from a user input in the box or the hub, dont you think?

maybe a protection..
if the software censures every line that contains /run within a line of text it could work.. Both a filter for the sender and the reciever..
And it would open many feautures for personal development without C++ knowledge..
And it opens the feauture to play a sound for example evry time anyone says your name in the mainchat.
