Close tabs by clicking middle mouse button

Post by Wisp » 2003-08-23 05:01

Tabbed browers have the option to close a tab by clicking the middle mouse button (scrollwheel) on them. Can't this be implemented by DC++ also?

This is actually a pretty good Idea although it would take some time for me to get used to (I click the middle randomly too much). If it could be turned off in the options then I think it could be a worthwhile feature.

This would be great. Anyone who uses certain web browsers would appreciate this because they middle click to close pages.

Or double-click instead of middle-click, I think this can be convenient too :)

Middle click is more easy and standard

Can't you change the fix a little so it also works for middle click?

It seems that there are a lot of "standards". Doesn't this dilute the meaning of the word?

most multi-button mouses - like ms intellimouse - allow you to set actions for the middle button as well as for the other buttons - my has two weels and five buttons, first it was confusing but it is a lot of help when you get used to it! Setting 'close active window' is usual for the middle button, so I think you should import intellimouse support somehow, but im really far from a programmer so i have no idea if this was any help (its maybe just that i cannot keep my mouth shut sometimes, and leaving the keyboard means that i must go back to my digit exam studies :(((

middle-click is a trigger in windows, like right-click or left-click. You can then, put the left-click in the right click or the middle-click on the middle click ;)

I also find myself using pie menus in other programs  I love easyGestures in Mozilla Firebird.
