Sounds in DC++

Post by Scaredy Retard » 2003-07-29 02:17

Hello, first time poster in the DC++ forums, long time DC++ user. Anyway, after a little bit of thought I couldn't help but think of one thing I'd like to see in DC++ above all else; exact specification of what sound files I'd like played back in DC++.

To make myself clearer, you know how you can specify DC++ to play an "annoying sound" whenever you receive a private message and/or when a private message window is opened? I don't mind the sound that it plays when it's for DC++, but because the sound it plays has to be enabled in Windows in order for it to play, I get those *dink* sounds all over the place, which drives me nuts.

Would it be possible to change DC++ in the near future so that you can point it at a WAV or MP3 sound and have it play that whenever a private message is received, thus allowing me to return to having no sounds in Windows' sounds?

Thanks, and keep up the fantastic work.
