[interface] tabs

Post by Wisp » 2003-07-14 11:16

I think that the DC interface would be much cleaner when there would be used some tabs, like the hub windows (public/favorites) could be merged to one and divided into 2 tabs

the search window could make a new tab for every search query and so on

wouldn't this be better? i'm sometimes drowning in the amount of minimized windows in dc :)

Nothing is wrong with that, and ofcourse I do that! But it tends to get ALOT of tabs anyway, therefore, related windows could be put together with one tab at the bottom and individiual tabs inside that window. For example, one main "Hubs" tab at the bottom, and inside that one you have "Public hubs", "Favorite Hubs" and "Recent Hubs" (not present today). And best of all, ONE main "Search" tab and all search windows have their own top tab inside that one..

Another idea is to have ONE tab for each hub at the bottom, say "Teh][Cool][Hub" and inside that you have top tabs "Main Chat", "Status window" (not present but sooo wanted) and all PMs for that hub!

Are you listening arne, I think this would be a killer change to the program!!

Sure, this seems to be a natural design.

No.
