Tabbing?!

Post by cpugeniusmv » 2003-07-02 12:07

I was surprised, I did a search for 'tabbing' and found no results!

Tabbing in mIRC is one of my favorite features, I would LOVE to see it in DC++!

For those of us who have never used mIRC, can you please explain what you mean by "tabbing"?

wow, you guys ARE missing out...

It's always been tedious typing usernames right?

so with tabbing, you type the first few letters, hit tab, and the computer puts the rest of the name in!

I was just unclear on whether you meant tab as in the user interface component, or tab as in keyboard key.

Thanks for the clarification. You'll find that it's already in the Feature Request Tracker:

[ 678149 ] Tab completion of nicknames in main chat

Furthermore, oDC, BCDC, and DC++k all have this feature. All one of those authors need to do is send a patch to Arne for it. ;)

Or maybe I'll have to write my own (so I own the copyright) then contribute it to DC++... again.
