In dchubs, have you ever encountered a situation where you really wanted to "mute" someone?

Yes too often...

No, not really. (I'm also one of those people who should be muted)

Mute -feature requested

Post by TomTom » 2003-06-14 18:04

Hi,

What would you think about a feature which would make possible to mute certain user (nick)? For example by right-clicking on users nick and choosing Mute. After doing this the dc-client would filter out this persons chatlines. This way you could decide whether to listen or not to listen some (annoying) persons. Similar function can be found in Activeworlds 3D-chat browser and that gave me an idea for oDC too. I've found it very useful at there many times. Lot of people would be delighted if such feature would be added on the next release.

Regards,

TomTom

Yes, definetly a good feature proposal. You should be able to mute offending users when OP is not available or afk.

I believe that this is already in the request tracker:
