Set the showing of parts and joins to on (in settings). When a user enters the hub, check their list at that time. You can also do a "mass get on enter" by getting the file lists of everyone in the room as you enter it and just slowly going through each one, grabbing the lists of new people as they arrive (ugly system, but if you want to go for it :)).

Hmm!! it was a crappy system.... just flooded my main chat...:(

I remember when i used NMDC that if i sorted the userlist after how much they shared, all the latest users arrived on the top of the list... i want someting easy to use... :oÞ

DC++k has the ability to automatically check users upon joining for fakeshare/no filelist/junk files. Besides from that and showing join/parts, there is no other option (unless scripted) for keeping track of new users you havnt checked.

When I was using mIRC, I wrote a script that would automatically redirect joins/parts to a small window that I kept below the main chat. That way I could see all the info and usernames of the people joining and parting so I could tell if a split or other such thing happened, but those things never flooded the chat. Surely DC++ could do something like that that I could so easily do with just a script. Perhaps just have a seperator bar somewhere in there and the text below or above, whichever works best, would be the join/part text.

Well, if the sort on the Users column was tri-state, (ascending, descending, none), you could get largely the same effect... I believe. That delves a bit more deeply into the Client<>Hub protocol than my experience dictates though. ;-)

Another option would be to add a column to the main chat and set the value equal to some timebased variable (im thinking getTick()?). then sort by that, and it should display in order of joining.
