Just thinking it would be very cool
being able to share some of my private ftps..
I have a private ftp account on my school where
i can upload unlimited files and it's with unlimited bandwith.
+ the server is on some fast T3 line.
The person who shares his private space
should be able to monitor uploads /add slots.
and only private ftps should be allowed.
Think of the many possiblities of this one.
I do to know what others are thinking of this idea,
can it be realised?
Share private FTP stuff

mount your ftp as a windows network drive,
lookup info on that
it has absolutely no relevance to DC, unless you wish to extend the ftp protocol, and the DC protocol _and_ add all that into dc++ and to the ftp server.
this would be TONS of work, and I don't think you have any clue about what you're asking for here (no offence)

I recently transitioned from a private FTP server to a DC++ hub. There were many pros to such a transition (chat, authentication, searches) that makes me wish I transitioned earlier. One of the few cons was a lack of DC++ client for old Mac systems. A major improvement would be some kind of hashing/multisource downloading, but we've asked for that enough times haven't we?mai9 wrote:Well, I have some friends that wanted to build an FTP and ended creating a DC hub
They told me it's easier, and better
