It would be cool to have the oDC mods merged back into DC++
the only difference between the two clients is the interface.
very little of the rest of the code has been changed.
oDC is not a cheating client.
check it out.

Remember the 80s and hostile takeovers? Those were the days.
I think that Opera has done some pretty good features in his client. There's a little bit of a "straight and narrow" feel to it, Opera dislikes features that can evade hub's "maximum" slot rules - like adjusting small file sizes or granting/auto-granting slots to users on any sort of automatic basis. (Which you can do with DC++ proper.)
I'm not sure if everyone wants the colored chat's CPU usage (sorry, this is second hand). And I've personally had problems compiling oDC on VS.NET under 2000. It works for Opera on XP, though.
(Mishmash of thoughts, all somewhat relevant.)

if not all the features some of the features would be cool.
Like the ability to narrow the list of users shown in the user list.

Searching in main chat
quoting in main chat
when you open a chat box it tells you if the user is online...
search alternative in context menu from a search
all the extra copy menus...
i think those could be lifted without any problems.
even if you don't take the coloring...
