CRC-checking - EXACT files!

Post by dot » 2003-01-12 11:48

Totally tired of damaged videos, corrupt RARs, misfit-ZIPs - what I am talking about is files that are not exact as the source was.

Will we see CRC-checking-codes in DC++ or any other way to see if fileA is the same EXACTLY as fileB before downloading it?

It looks like BlackClaw is working on getting SHA1 hashes of downloads, in 9mb segments, into his mod.

SFV file checking will only be useful at the end of the download... Not exactly what you're looking for.
