What's new

Post by ToH » 2004-12-15 09:46

In the bottom of filelist will be directory "==What's new==" with newest files added to filelist.

How about that?

may be some options like "show only: *.avi, *.directory, iso..."

You have to explain what you want.. You have not yet done it.
Give a minimal example and a fully described feature-requests. so that i don't have to waste more time reading them.

(Should if be forced on uploading client, downloading clients viewing? timestamps.. what..)
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

Talk about including time stamps in the file list was not received well by other developers. I don't think this is something that will go into DC++.

it will be like any other shared directory (ofcorse not add to sharesize), upgrading automaticly by the client. Yes, every file in filelist will be need a timestamp(when he was added/changed)

This has been rejected by the community as unneccisary metadata in the past

The downloading client could already support this, if it wanted. CDMs already have the facility to operate on the file lists, showing changed files between the old file list and new file lists.

I see that this might be of use in some circumstances, but the cost of coding it outweighs the benefits. If a programmer of a DC++ derivative disagrees, they can make it for their mod, and you can use that instead.
