Filter out TTH’s from the search spy option.

Post by Shroom » 2004-11-28 10:04

I propose a small new feature to the search spy. Today a large majority of all searches are done by TTH (mostly autosearches and search for alternative). I would therefore like to have the option to simply filter out any incoming TTH searches from appearing in the search spy, preferably with a small checkbox similar to the one at the status bar in the Download Queue.

Feature created, I'm goinf to make patch of it tomorrow.
Just one question, right now I'm filtering on both that the strign string should begin with TTH: and be exactly 43 (4+39) characters long to be considered a TTH. I'm not sure if the length check is neccesary or if I just should drop it.

Would it be possible to translate the TTH into a filename instead?

If it's known, of course.

Sure. Problem is the filename isn't known, and you can't learn it unless you send a search of your own on the TTH. To make every DC++ send autosearches as soon as someone else searches by TTH would be insane.

Could even bring it into an infinite loop of sending searces.....
