Request about BitTorrent

Post by dreamstream » 2004-09-12 10:51

I was wondering if you could add an extra window in DC++ where you can insert BitTorrent downloads. It would be better because you could sort and have more control over the downloads.

Then you could share torrent files to one and other. By doing this you could increase download speeds.

For example; I am chating to a friend at a hub and he is the only one who got the file i want. Then he can give me the torrent file for it. In this way we can still chat and I will have my download.

Direct Connect is Direct Connect and not Bittorrent. Ofcourse it's possible, but multi-protocol has been rejected by DC++ several times.
Why not just share the torrent file and then let your friend download it and start it with a bt client? Or just give the bittorrent URL.

Because i can't find a single good BT program. I want a BT program where you have all the downloads at the same window.

DC++ is a DC client. If you want a certain feature for BitTorrent, you really should request it in your favourite BitTorrent client forum...

I would like to keep DC++ as a client for only the DC network.

A user requested eDonkey2000 network connectivity not that long ago, his thread has a striking resemblance to this one.
