I thought the following requests would be in order to
make DC++ family more of a pleasure and utility.
1.Presently the search index is only through the
filename.Fine! Why not include a search box to go near
the file I need.Suppose I want to find a file
DZWT345.mpg (which is the last) I have to keep
pressing D (imagine some 300 files!!).
Suppose the number of file is less and the last file is
reached the cursor jumps back to the first file (of the
alphabet)again ---quiet irritating. It could be made to
stop at the last file and request for further search.
2.The files that are running should be accesible
immediately in the queue.WHy not include a drop box in
the "status" column to arrange the "running" fles from
the top.Present alphabetical seeking can be a pain!!
3.File type indexing?? Perhaps in the future?

# 1 --Search box = a box that could allow a input a search string!! THe more detailed it is the cursor would identify the file.To make things simple the procedure could compliment the indexing if required. Two options "Indexed" or "any". Say I have 2 files "Return of the Jedi" and "Jedi200".Search string of "Jedi" should stop at Jedi200.If a user choses "any" it could pin down both the files.
#2 Presently on pressing the status column in the download queue they are indexed starting from "All users off line" to "Waiting". The "Running" files are somewhere in between.Give an option to bring the running files to the top?
#3 Allow a indexing of files in the dwnld queue based on file extensions ,like txt, mpeg etc.

Why?nagan wrote:Suppose I want to find a file

If you know the file is called DZWT*, just keep typing. This is not a feature of DC++, but of the underlying Windows controls.
What options do you want to perform to these files? Why ask for features to be added to the Transfer View, which obviously shows the files already?nagan wrote:2.The files that are running should be accesible

Ah. Sorting by extension?nagan wrote:#3 Allow a indexing of files in the dwnld queue based on file extensions ,like txt, mpeg etc.
